Self-taught artist working with found objects to create analogue collage
Born in the city of Flin Flon in Manitoba, Perry Adamuik is a mixed-media artist who has been present on the Calgary art scene for 40 years.
Despite having no formal qualifications, Perry’s art stems from a life-long interest in collage and found objects. He therefore has a particular passion for incorporating old vinyl records, album covers and music scores into his works.
Mixing these objects with a contrast of monotone and garish colour palettes, Perry is influenced by both Russian Constructivism and Outsider Art. He creates collages with both 3D and acrylic elements.
Perry currently resides in Calgary and is owner and operator of Fine Art Framers, an art services company in his home city.
